Pakistan speedster Haris Rauf is one of the prominent names enrolled in the 2026 Men’s Hundred auction. This year, 14 players from Pakistan will go under the hammer at The Hundred auction on 12 March in Piccadilly, London.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) earlier stated that selection would be based on “performance, availability and the needs of each team”. The decision was made after the BBC reported that an IPL-linked franchise might enforce a ‘shadow ban’ on Pakistan players.
Rauf, Aiden Markram, David Miller, Sunil Narine and Daryl Mitchell are the overseas players who will feature in the first set of the auction. Meanwhile, Jonny Bairstow, Adil Rashid, James Vince, Jordan Cox and Joe Root are the domestic marquee players.
In his two seasons with Welsh Fire, Rauf has taken 16 wickets. The right-arm pacer finished as the highest wicket-taker with 20 wickets in 11 matches in the BBL 2025–26.
Other names shortlisted from Pakistan include Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Usman Tariq, Saim Ayub, Abrar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Amir, Zaman Khan, Usama Mir, Imad Wasim, Akif Javed and Salman Mirza. Of these, nine have already featured in previous editions of The Hundred.
The ECB has also announced 10 marquee names in the women’s category who will go under the hammer on 11 March. The notable inclusions are Dani Gibson, Sarah Glenn, Amy Jones, Tammy Beaumont, Davina Perrin, Nadine de Klerk, Sophie Devine, Beth Mooney, Sophie Molineux and Deepti Sharma.
